Full Service Equestrian Center

To all clients and friends of Evergreen Equestrian Center:

2008 is bringing many changes to Evergreen Equestrian Center.

The Crooks family and Stella Farm will be relocating in the fall to Sandpoint, Idaho.  While it was a difficult decision for us, it will enable us to focus more on our family and on our own horses.  As many of you know, our family has grown quite a bit over the past few years, and we have to consider how to best balance the needs of our children and the needs of our horses and business. We feel that this move will help us create the necessary balance. Mike and Jennifer will continue with the same competitive schedule as in previous years with the Grand Prix horses and young horses, and will continue to take a small group of clients to the shows as well.

We are happy to announce that Kara Levis, formerly our assistant trainer at Stella Farm, has agreed to stay on at Evergreen.  She will continue to offer training and lessons through her business, Full Circle Farm LLC.  For more information about Kara’s program, visit the Full Circle Farm page by clicking on the link to the left.

Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to close the EEC Riding School effective July 2008.  It has been very important to us to offer the opportunity for kids and adults to learn to ride and horsemanship at reasonable rates, and the Riding School has been an important part of the Northwest hunter/jumper community for almost 40 years.  However, the huge increase in the costs of running this business in recent years has made it impossible for us to keep providing this service.  Kara will be providing school horse lessons on a limited basis for intermediate riders who are interested in a more advanced program, and you can contact her at (425) 770-2685.

We are grateful to our clients, friends and community for all of the support given to us and to Evergreen Equestrian Center over the years, and look forward to the new adventures and opportunities that will arise from these changes.
